@Gwynne Worthington I was in Carthage a couple of years ago while visiting banks that are members of my trade association (Community Bankers Association of Illinois). On that same day,, I got to visit the metrop (whatever the plural of "metropolis" is) of Nauvoo and Warsaw. After law school, my first job opportunities were in the Legal Department of the State banking agency in Springfield or Assistant State's Attorney in Henry County. Grew up in Monticello. IL.. (between Champaign and Decatur; Illinois State University 1978-1982; School of Law at Southern Illinois in Carbondale 1982-1985;Springfield 1985-2014.in 2014, my (now ex-) wife and I decided that Springfield winters were too cold, and so we moved south to Chatham, IL (5 miles due south of Springfield). I kept the house after the divorce, and so I still live in Chatham and work in Springfield. First saw Suzy in 1980 hen we were both at Illinois State University and she was playing gigs at The Gallery in downtown Normal. Last saw her perform when she and Randy Travis appeared at the Illinois State Fair Grandstand in 1999. Was planning to see her "Chicks with Hits" Tour appearance in St. Louis last Spring, but somebody unplugged the world.
